CANNOT INSTALL FLASH PLAYER ON WINDOWS 7 WITH AVAST DOWNLOAD
Download this Uninstaller to your Desktop: Due to this you are going to need to Uninstall and Install. The Flash10e.ocx is missing and for some reason there are two FlashUtil10e.exe. You have the correct FP files for FF, but not IE. Now after Flash Player is installed into IE successfully, you then can set it back to where you want it.

Your Security setting could have had a factor, so setting it to Medium is needed. Glad you uninstall the old Security programs before installing new. I really feel like it is one little thing that is causing the problem. However, I did do that in trying to fix this problem.

However, I always thought Adobe flash would update so I never uninstalled older versions. I always uninstall old programs before I install new programs. I guess I was hoping that Comodo would fix it some how thinking there may have been a conflict. I had used the firewall before and liked it. When I couldn't get IE to work, I decided to go to Comodo IE. When this first happened, I was running either AVG or Avast with Zone Alarm. Opened IE and still got error message and referred to tn_19166. I have not conflicts with Comodo, Ad-Aware, or Spyware Blaster.īut I do see my Internet Security is Medium-High. I have never understood some of this so it is appreciated. It could be that an old FP file was not removed/installed. Util.exe and then click properties to obtain the version of those. Right click on the NPSWF32.dll and the NPSWF32_Flash The IE files will show the version, but the FF files will not. If you like, you can post back your FP files that are in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash Right click on the Flash folder, and post back all files Now I said all of that so you would have a better understanding of what the real issue is. Also anytime you replace one Security program with another, you are to Uninstall the one before installing the other. FP must install it, so you have a potential for conflict. Of any Security program is to keep ActiveX Controls from installing into your system. If they do and Comodo does or Spyware Blaster does, you are going to have a conflict. I don't know if Ad-Aware has an anti-virus component or not,

If you have Ad-Aware and Spyware Blaster installed, you certainly could have a conflict with Comodo. Security for the Internet Zone must be set at Medium, another factor. Since FF doesn't use them, there is no problem installing FP with FF. So, Anti-Virus programs and Firewalls can and do block the installing of ActiveX Controls. In their Uninstall/Install guides simply advises the users of this.įlash Player is a browser ActiveX Control, not a program. This is not an Adobe Flash Player requirement, it is the Microsoft/IE requirement.

You must be theĪdministrator in order to do this. Installs the ActiveX Control (Shockwave Flash Object) into your add-ons and it writes to the Registry. If you look in your manage add ons you will readily see that anything Microsoft, there are the ActiveX Controls. Windows uses the ActiveX Control, where as Firefox uses plug-ins. There is a difference between IE(Microsoft) and FF(Firefox) It really has nothing to do with Adobeįlash Player per se.
